Chinnerys is the main live music venue in Southend and the surrounding area (with a large capacity it is also the biggest and features one of the largest stages on this circuit) regularly playing host to major signed touring acts as well as showcasing a wide array of local talent.

Following the untimely demise of Southend’s no.1 venue, The Esplanade, the team behind putting on such shows as Pearl Jam’s 1st UK show, Primal Scream, Stereophonics and Feeder (to mention but a few), shifted up a gear and took over CHINNERYS. In the last few years we have played host to such contemporary acts as – Babyshambles, The Libertines, The Arctic Monkeys, Snow Patrol, Lost Prophets, The Bluetones, The Automatic, Hard-Fi, The Hoosiers, Jamie T, The Charlatans, The Maccabees, Scouting For Girls, The Klaxons etc. along with stalwarts such as Bad Manners, The Blockheads and Billy Bragg.

The fully experienced production team (gained through years of doing full tours, working with many corporate clients – inc. BBC, Virgin etc. – and name rock acts) always maintain the highest quality in f.o.h., monitors and lights ensuring that the artists and punters alike are kept satisfied.

Chinnerys also has a vibey front bar which features acoustic nights, occasional performances from covers bands and serves an extensive range of drinks at wallet friendly prices.
